Intevac Announces Andres Brugal as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Photonics

February 6, 2012 – Morgan Samuels, a leading national human capital consulting firm with a focus on retained executive search, today announced the placement of Andres (Drew) Brugal as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Photonics at Intevac.

Intevac is a market leader in magnetic media deposition equipment and develops low-light electro-optical sensors, cameras and imaging systems. The Photonics Division is a leader in the development and manufacture of leading edge, high sensitivity digital imaging products and vision systems.

Mr. Brugal was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer at Vision Systems International, LLC, a joint venture of EFW, Inc. and Rockwell Collins, Inc.  Previously, Mr. Brugal was the Vice President and General Manager with Vision Systems International, LLC.  Mr. Brugal received his MA in Strategic Studies and Security Affairs, a BS in General Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and a BS equivalent in Nuclear Engineering from the Naval Nuclear Power Propulsion School in Charleston, South Carolina.
