Morgan Samuels Places Key Executive at Engility
June 19, 2013 – Leading human capital consulting firm Morgan Samuels has announced the placement of Shelly Kay Bowan as Director of Pricing and Proposals Strategy at Engility. Morgan Samuels provides innovative and strategic services focused on identifying, attracting, and retaining top executive talent. “Shelly brings a great balance between industry experience and wide pricing and contracts skills to Engility, a fast growing, newly formed company,” said Martin Hewett, Senior Client Partner and Aerospace and Defense Practice Leader, who led this search on behalf of Morgan Samuels for Engility.
Engility, a subsidiary that spun off of L-3 Communications in 2012, is a provider of systems engineering services, training, program management, and operational support for the United States government around the world. The Professional Support Services segment provides Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance services, program management support and software engineering lifecycle sustainment and support services. Through its Mission Support Services segment, it provides capabilities, such as defense related training, education and support services, law enforcement training, national security infrastructure and institutional development. With about 8,000 employees, Engility serves customers in over 140 countries. Ms. Bowan will report to the Vice President of Contracts.
Ms. Bowan has over 25 years of leadership experience in the financial analysis, business management, and pricing and proposal development fields. Her prior role was as Pricing Director for Dell Services Federal. Before that, she was Assistant Vice President of Corporate Strategic Pricing and Business Unit Pricing Director for Science Applications International Corporation. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, both in Business Administration, from George Washington University.
