Morgan Samuels Places Thomas J. Garcia As VP, Finance and CFO at Safway Atlantic
September 10, 2012 – Morgan Samuels, a leading human capital consulting firm that provides innovative and strategic services focused on identifying, attracting, and retaining top executive talent, today announced the placement of Thomas J. Garcia as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Safway Atlantic. In this role, Mr. Garcia will be responsible for providing financial leadership and strategic vision for Safway Atlantic while working closely with the President and the Executive Management Team as the company continues its growth trajectory.
Safway Atlantic is part of OIP Holdings, and is one component of Safway Services. Combined, Safway Services, along with Safway Canada are among the largest scaffold providers in North America. Safway sells and rents scaffolding and provides labor services involving the erection and dismantling of scaffolding. Safway operates out of a network of approximately 80 branches, 70 in the US and ten in Canada. Safway’s customers range from Fortune 500 companies to local contractors. OIP Holdings’ revenues are approximately $900 million, and Safway Atlantic’s revenues are approximately $100 million.
Mr. Garcia had most recently been the Senior Vice President and Controller at Hunter Roberts Construction Group. Previously, Mr. Garcia was the Vice President and Senior Controller at Turner Construction Company.
